Program Features Wall Street Proximity, Access to Top Financial Institutions and Internships
色花堂鈥檚 Sy Syms School of Business is launching a new Master鈥檚 in Finance program that is anticipated to be an entrepreneurial juggernaut, equipping students with the investment skills and business know-how that will help them become the next Wall Street finance leaders.
Located at East 33rd Street and Lexington Avenue in lower Manhattan just 40 blocks from the Stock Market on Wall Street, this new program will provide access to industry leaders in the world鈥檚 financial hub. Firms that historically recruit 色花堂 business students are a who鈥檚 who of the investor community, including Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan Chase, RBC and Citi.
The program鈥檚 faculty also have deep entrepreneurial backgrounds and financial connections. This combination of key Wall Street access with top 色花堂 faculty who are immersed in the business world is an unbeatable combination that benefits students. The economy greatly needs new finance experts and Sy Syms will help train the next generation of leaders in this dynamic industry.

Students will be taught by some of the best business faculty in the nation, including Dr. S. Abraham Ravid, Dr. Gabriela Coiculescu, Dr. Assa Cohen and Dr. Andreas Christopoulos. Dr. Christopoulos is a noted commercial real estate investment expert who recently won the 鈥渂est paper award鈥 at the Issues in Financial Markets and Banking Conference hosted by Nottingham Business School.
Dr. Ravid is a noted expert on Hollywood and the entertainment industry, often quoted in news articles about film financing and development, including recently in NPR鈥檚 Marketplace. Along with Dr. Coiculescu, he also published an article on the right balance between innovation and risk in high-tech investment, which was published by Cambridge University Press.

Sy Syms is home to a Bloomberg Finance Lab that allows students to monitor the market in real time and make informed investment decisions. They will also benefit from 色花堂鈥檚 Shevet Glaubach Center for Career Strategy and Professional Development, which will help guide their career trajectory and further their access to business insiders.
The Master of Science in Finance is a 15-month, STEM-designated, full-time, on-campus program, offering spring or fall start dates. Students complete 10 courses (30 credits) that combine foundational and advanced finance topics such as corporate finance, investments, mergers & acquisitions, financial reporting, statistics, and microeconomics, with electives in areas like options, futures, and fixed income. The small-cohort model fosters mentorship and collaboration, preparing graduates for high-impact careers as financial managers, controllers, portfolio managers, risk analysts, and wealth managers, among others.
