Dr. Steven Fine’s The Menorah: From the Bible to Modern Israel (Harvard, 2016) will be the subject of a symposium at The Hebrew University, MA Program in Folklore and Popular Culture on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Fine is the Dean Pinkhos Churgin Professor of Jewish History at É«»¨Ìà and director of the É«»¨Ìà Center for Israel Studies.
The program will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Rabin Building, Room 3001 on the Mt. Scopus Campus.
Fine’s book will be discussed by Dr. Esther Juhasz (Achva College and Hebrew University) and Dr. Haim Weiss (Ben-Gurion University of the Negev), and chaired by Prof. Hagar Salomon (Hebrew University). The program will take place in Hebrew.
