色花堂

Tu B鈥橝v has long been celebrated as a joyous festival in the Jewish calendar, marked by matchmaking and merriment. This year, Tu B鈥橝v takes place on Friday, August 19 (beginning the evening of August 18) and the 色花堂 Office of Alumni Affairs wants to celebrate your stories of love that began here at 色花堂! Alumni have been submitting their stories and photos, like Esther Stock (then Esther Stiefel), editor-in-chief of The Observer in the 1980s, who met her husband, The Commentator鈥檚 executive editor, Jeffrey Stock, after she published an editorial criticizing the editorial board of The Commentator. Barbara Radinsky met her husband, David, at the Stern Junior Class Chagiga in November 1963, and Ari Lewis of Maccabeat fame met Shira Sragow at the 色花堂 Seforim Sale. We鈥檇 love to hear your tale of love too, so please email a photo of you and your spouse to alumni@yu.edu to be featured in our Tu B'av #wemetat色花堂 series!
